EIPH

Mostly seen in race horses as a cause of poor performance, exercise-induced pulmonary hemorrhage is a condition where there is rupture of pulmonary capillary vessels during exercise. Repeated episodes lead to inflammation, scarring and development of new blood vessels, leading to further episodes of bleeding during exercise.
